Need help determining which options a used G has

I am looking at buying a 07+ used G35 sedan, and have been looking around the internet for a while. There are plenty for sale, but I am having a hard time finding out which exact packages the cars have. I think some of the listings are not correct or are omitting things. This is what I have gathered so far:

Nav - no way to tell so far - they all have screens, I see on the Infiniti site that Nav includes voice recognition - Is there a special button on the steering wheel for this?

Sport - pretty easy, different front fascia, paddle shifters, aluminum pedals

Premium - Is says sunroof on Infiniti's site - do non-premium models not come with a sunroof?? It also lists Bluetooth as part of the premium package - is there a special button on the steering wheel for this?

Tech package - no idea here...

Basically, I am looking for a way to see if these packages are on a car based on something easy to see in crappy online pictures, like if a button is on the steering wheel or not. All of the information above came from Infiniti's site for 08 MY so it may not be correct for 07? Thanks for any help!

For 2007, to tell that it has the tech package, look at two things:

1. Camera lens on the rear trunk lid, it'll look like a big black button. Thats for the backup camera.
2. In the front bumper, you'll see a black screen looking object. This is for the cruise control thats in the tech package.

For 2008, the camera came with the navi package, but in either case, you need the navi package in order to order the tech package. So if you see these things, it also has navigation.

To check the navi:

Only way to tell is to look at the buttons around the LCD screen inside the car. If you see buttons that say "Dest", "Route", and "Map" then it has navi. If they say something like "AM/FM", "CD", or something like that then it does not have navigation. You can also see a small button with a guy talking on the bottom right of the steering wheel. If you see that button, it has navi.

To check to see if it has Bluetooth, the best say to check is to see if it has the XM radio shark fin antenna and a moonroof. If it does, then it has the premium package which means it has bluetooth. Hope this helps.

The premium package is also a prerequisite for Nav and Tech packages on the '08 (I am assuming on the "07 as well), so if you can confirm Nav and/or Tech you know it has Premium as well.

Don't go by the sunroof. It's included in premium but also available as a stand alone option on the base model.

Theres more buttons by the LCD for the Nav package. Theres 12 buttons where the non-nav have only 6 buttons.

Another check for navigation is the CF slot on the bottom right hand corner of the center console. most sellers provide a "driver's seat" view, so look just to the right of the shift **** for the little gray rectangle (CF cover)

For premium package, look for the memory seating buttons on the driver's side door. They'll be on the aluminum trim.

Thanks for all the help!

I am good with Nav now - more buttons, and CF slot.

Sport - was good from the beginning

Premium - Will it always have a shark fin? Also, as long as nav is a requirement and I can verify that, then the car must have the premium package. Plus memory buttons.

Tech - I might just have to call and confirm this one - I know Tech has the rear view camera but I can see a little bump where the camera goes in many pictures where I know there is not a camera.

Edit: Look at this car: http://www.carmax.com/enUS/view-car/...3-6056a0a78abd
It has premium listed, has a sunroof, and has the bluetooth buttons on the steering wheel, but there is no fin.

Tech, just look at the pictures of the front of the car. The drivers side intake/grill will have a black rectangle - this is the Intelligent Cruise Control

For Tech you can go with the Steering wheel as well..It has the distance control switch....See the steering wheel picture then you will know....This doesn't exist on Non-TECH cars....

You can tell premium by the heated seats, look for those.

When you look for the camera, cars without the camera have a little oval-type button there but cars with the camera have a square camera and the little button next to it. The camera is black, if its just a chrome button then its just the trunk open

Is the distance control the top button on the bottom right of the steering wheel?

I think this is my final question...
What are the buttons for on the trim surrounding the gauges? Do they signify a package? You can see them in this pic:

the buttons surrounding the gauges...the left side is for brightness control on your speedo and tacho...the right side is for viewing options between the speedo and tacho. using the right buttons, you can scroll through a MPG gauge, mph and time, warnings for your car, etc.

oh....and go dawgs

I am driving a 2008 Loaner... The buttons on the side of the dash are for the computer in the dash(ie MPG, Outside temp, stopwatch, trip odometer, etc) Tech package will have a rear camera for reverse parking along with the small box up front for the cruise control.
