Any chance the new 7speed auto will be like a DSG?

Perfect example would be the 6 speed auto in a Chevy Equinox sport. I drove one around an autox course during last year's Chevy Rev it Up event.
When you're on the gas, off the gas, then back on, it was easy to "confuse" the transmission. Sometimes it wouldn't downshift to the right gear, or would be a little rough in transition.
Another example of "gear hunting" is something my 5 speed auto already does. At certain speeds, if I floor it, it doesn't shift right to the lowest gear, it'll downshift once, then downshift again about 1/2 a second later. I.E at 40mph, it'll go from 5th to 3rd, then 2nd.
It slows response down and is kinda annoying.
I can imagine going from 7th to 3rd may have a similar result (or could be worse).
I'm not a naysayer, just pointing out possible problems. I HOPE it doesn't have these problems.

Something else that the 5 speed auto also already does that's annoying.
Say I give it 25% throttle in 5th gear, it'll drop into 4th. If I give it just a little more (wanting it to go into 3rd), it'll aggressively go into 2nd and wind out the motor.
Again, with 7 speeds, this could be another "gear hunting" problem.
I just remember with the crappy and simple 4 speed auto in my 98 Grand Prix, it'd downshift from 4th to 1st immediately, and seemed to go the gear I wanted/needed very easily.

If the 7 speed auto was like a DSG then it would no longer be an automatic transmission....it'd be a DSG.
That said, it won't be like a DSG. It'll offer the same paddle shift gimmick that are on other Infiniti's, but thats not to be mistaken as a DSG type feature. An automatic has to deal with a torque converter so even when you blip the paddle shifters, shifts won't be instantaneous as they would on an SMG or DSG transmission.
