De-badging INFINITI

Is de-badging a simple DIY project? How is it done? I would like to remove the word INFINITI from my G35s. I think its over kill. Thanks for any responses.

heat the letters and glue up with a heat gun. Take some dental floss and work it back and forth behind the letters. Use some goo-gone to remove the excess clue. Clean and wax the area.

It's pretty easy. I sprayed the trunk with water and cleaned it. Then I took a hair dryer, lightly heated up each letter at a time and then took dental floss and removed each letter.. I'm sure everyone else is going to chime in and say that there are 9 million threads and posts about this and what not... lol

Very easy.
1) Get a hair-dryer
2) heat up the area
3) use fishing line or dental floss and slowly remove the letters
4) use Goo-gone to get rid of the remaining adhesive on the paint
5) clean/wax area

lol its not much of a mod. i'd use fishing line over dental floss. fishing line is all one piece, and is stronger. dental floss is several fibers twisted together.

Goo-gone is an adhesive remover - not to be confused with Goof-off, which is PAINT remover. Someone on the forum apparently made that mistake

Goo Gone is a goo/glue remover that is found at most hardware stores in the US. You spray or squirt it on goo/glue and it dissolves it so you can wipe it off.
Yeah, debadging is not much of a mod. I was being sarcastic with myself.

Before you remove them, take a picture of the rear of the car, then photoshop with the badges removed.

I did that and decided against it.

Good point - you can search and find pics, including mine (I took the G35S off).

I took the I N F I N I T I because it was just too redundnant with the mt. fuji emblem right above it. It looks better IMO now because it is similar to most luxury manufacturers, where the emblem is center and the classification is to the top right.
