Functional front bumper vents for G35 sedan journey
#46
I live in San Francisco and weather has been great the past few weeks. So I doubt it was a puddle. Secondly, when i was drilling i encountered a force but thought nothing of it since all the holes were rather hard to drill. After drilling the far right side, some type of liquid was coming out for a good 10minutes. After that it just stopped. Drove the car and no liquid continued to leak. I just hope its not AC. Thanks for your help wanted.
Windshield wiper fluid works. Did not try AC. Will do that tomorrow.

If it is like the sport, the windshield washer fluid reservoir is on the passenger side behind the fake grill. If you hit a metal A/C line, you would know it because they are under pressure.
If it is leaking from the passenger side, I would guess you drilled into your windshield washer fluid reservoir.

I honestly don't think that will make any difference on the car. If it did, the factory would have had the open plastic mesh in the vents the same as they did in my last 05G35X.
If they made a big difference they would have left them like the last gen. G35
Here is a pic of my 05 G35X, you can see the open mesh design in it. With the second gen they closed it up.

@ GEE35X: I decided to do this not only for better cooling purpose but for more realistic looking. I am tired of the fake looking grill vents. I hate them every time I look at them. If they are not functional why don't Infiniti just delete them and make a smoother bumper for better air flow and sharper looking? Now I love the looking of my car with a REAL grill vents.
