I have it on my G37 and love it. No regrets in getting it. Here's my opinions.

Adaptive Front Lighting: Love this feature. Helps light up corners when turning especially on the sharp turns. Could I live without, yes, but I really like what it does. Helped me see a deer in a curve one evening and I was definitely thankful for having it then.

Intelligent Cruise: I like this feature as well... very convenient to just turn on cruise control, set your speed, and not really have to worry much about slowing down. It does a good job or recognizing objects (even motorcycles) in front of the car and can brake hard if necessary. Again, I could live without, but it is a nice to have on trips.

Pre-Crash Seat Belts: A few of us have seen this activate. I was goin down the road one day and the car in front of me slammed on their brakes. I could feel the seat belts tighten closely on my body and the brakes pre-pressured giving me significantly more braking power than I would normally expect. Could it save your life? I think so.

If I could do it all over again, I'd still get the Tech package. Infiniti did a good job with it.

I just experienced the pre-crash seatbelts this morning as the car in front stopped suddenly on the freeway. This was a very worthwhile feature in the tech package.

As for the looks of the ICC sensor... the dealer replaced my bumper and clear bra because they damaged it on my last service (long story). They accidentally replaced it with a non ICC sport bumper so now my sensor is covered behind the grill and it still works great.

Lucky me, I guess.

+1 on the tech, the seatbelt safety and the pre-brake feature is worth it by itself IMO, with a bit of experience(lets just say its something i do not want to recall... but it might have just saved me), and yess the ICC is pretty cool and i have had no problems with it thus far.

Get it for the ICC

I have had the car for two months and have 6.5 k miles on it. most of my miles come from long route dribing from the virtue of being an IT consultant. I use the ICC all the time, it has never made me feel that why did spend that money. i dont think i can use the regular cruise control ever again.

it really comes down to the question of, "are you an enthusiast or a regular driver?"....i'm an enthusiast, so personally i don't need anything to enrich my driving convenience

I'm an enthusiast driver too, but sometimes, it's nice to just sit back and relax and enjoy a leisurely drive. That's why I got the G, it's the best of both worlds.

If I really wanted a car purely for enthusiast driving, I'd be driving an Evo or STi.

I'm both. You can't be an enthusiast driver all the time, that's what the track is for, at least to me.

If it really should come down to it, even a stripped down Civic would suit me just fine on an autocross... being a driving enthusiast and all.

Interesting, Mike, are you sure it's not on the 08? I drove with ICC and Nav almost everyday and it seemed to slow down on a curve on 57 South even with no car in front. After the curve, the car will speed up to my preset.

Anyone?

Full range ICC is the ICC stops and acclerates the car from 0-90 without driver interference.... Currently I believe it is only on the new 09 FX...The ones on the G ....I believe ICC quits around 20 mph......

Oh so thats what a full range ICC is. Cool. that's like the S classes. I would kill for that.
Oh yes, the Car slows down on the curves in ICC mode.
