What do you guys think about the Tech Package on the '08s? Is it worth it? On the '07s you had to have it to get the rear view camera but on the '08s it's just Intelligent Cruise Control and Adaptive Lighting System. It's really hard to locate a new 2008 fully loaded with Nav, Prem, Tech and Sport but there are definitely some with Nav, Prem and Sport to be had. That's why I'm wondering if the Tech is worth it. Those of you that have it..what do you think?

I have the headlights and the ICC and do not regret getting them. They are nice to have, but I don't use them that often.

Personally, I would have better things to do with $1000 now.

I'd get the rear view cam regardess because it is more functional.

That ICC sensor is also a PITA if you ever need to stuff an intercooler behind the grille!

Don't bother with it, most of the roads here are straight so it the swivel headlights are useless. The ICC does not work that well from what I have read.

Remember $1100 buys a lot of beer

I have an 07 with tech. The backup camera is ok, but I hardly notice the adaptive lights and never use ICC.

best part of the tech package is the rearview camera, the swivel headlights are awesome when you first get the car...they're still cool but i don't see a huge advantage in having them....the icc i could care less about. BUT the rearview camera is a must. when i get a loaner at my dealership, they never have rearview cameras and it drives me nuts.

I love everything the tech package has and cant even see myself driving an 07-08 now without it.

The cruise control is awesome on trips, and the lights are fun.

I like the adaptive headlights and ICC is a cool gadget to have. To each their own.

It depends on how much you need it.

I didn't care much for it when i was looking for my car. The one i eventually found was such a good deal that it pretty much amounted to having the Tech for free.

I use ICC and it works very well on the highways, just not when the roads start getting curvy (who uses cruise on those types of roads anyway?). You can set the distance to when ICC starts reacting, i have it at the farthest setting. The other feature that ICC has, even when turned off, is the preview braking, where basically the system monitors objects ahead of you and preps the brakes to where it rids the gap between pad and rotor, and pressurizes the lines. It saves you a fraction of a second, if anything, but when it comes to braking, every bit helps.

As for Adaptive headlights, it's useless on the freeway, but it does come in handy in the city or residential areas where it tends to be darker yet have a bunch of neighbors out for their evening strolls/jogs.

Since it's an '07, it also came with the backup camera - the biggest feature for me.

These features, to me, are more of creature comforts akin to power steering and windows. I can live without it, but i do appreciate its presence and don't regret having them.

I love the ICC for freeway driving. Adaptive headlights are irrelevant.

I did not have great experience with the ICC in the 07. It would pick up vehicles in the other lanes and slow down, was real annoying. I also think it ruins the look of the front of the car with that huge sensor sticking out. The AFS was more of a "show off" gadget than anything. I loved pulling into my friends driveways while they stood there and I accidentally turned my steering wheel just enough so the headlights would swivel. I guess it comes in handy on very dark, wooded, windy roads so if you drive on a lot of those then you may want to consider it. TBH though the two options combined arent worth $1100 IMO.
