not on the test drive, but i have since then. the clutch isn't so much light as it is vague

 

i didn't stall mine on the test drive, but i have a couple of times since. i have to admit i've driven just about every manual car there is and it seems the new g is the most difficult at times.

 

vague is a good word, it seems like every shift it acts differently. i hope the 09 is better, maybe a whole new system

 

at least you drove one, you didnt notice anything too bad about it? maybe there are some 07+ 6MT G's out there with clutches that work properly. mine makes a loud noise until i press in on the pedal, and it stops, they said its normal?

 

I don't know if the car I drove was different for some reason, but I had not problem with either the clutch or the shifter itseld. I found it one of the most enjoyable gearboxes I've experienced.

 

i love the shifter and the feel of it when you shift, but the the clutch engagement is iffy.

The loud noise when the clutch isn't depressed is probably the throwout bearing... It's loud on my '04 too, but I'm used to it which is probably why I didn't notice it.
