Question Coolant Bypass?

http://www.infinitihelp.com/diy/gsed...ss_install.htm

Why would you NOT have coolant running? Has anyone done this, what is it supposed to do?

if you live somewhere the temp never gets below 50-ish (so cal for the most part) then you don't need the coolant running through the TB to keep the butterfly from freezing in place

No, just the opposite. The bypass is to prevent warming up the throttle body. This is good in climates where it doesn't freeze, not a good idea if you live up north.

What is the benefit, I like in Orange County... the video was for a 03-06 G, would the 07 G35 benefit from it? Again what does this give, performance gains for ?

Those things can mess up idling too. Did it on a car last summer and the b*tch was idling at 1500-2k rpms until I reversed the bypass...

how would running 190f-ish fluid through the t/b prevent the t/b from warming up?

did this on my setnra specv for some added cooling(along with a thermal gasket and CAI)

It seemed to help keep the intake air charge/manifold/runners cool.
but i did go through 3 Throttle bodies(TPS went out on them.)
