ya im super interested but first want to see a dyno or some positives on this. my reason being for not getting a full exhaust would be the drone and the butt vibrating from the piping this will be just exterior noise.

Thanks Earth0 did you install it yourself?! I'm thinking of giving it to the dealership to do it, if they are willing to.

Review of my Tanabe Medalion Touring

hey guys, this is my first post here. i was actually on here looking for aero options for my sport, but ended up finding this thread instead!

i must have had my tanabe muffler for a year or more and it's great. as you guys can tell from the design, it's NOT a loud exhaust. If you want your g35 to be a "race car" and you want something that will let your neighbors know when you're home, then this isn't for you.

my favorite things about these mufflers are:
  1. I can drive around without having to worry about cops
  2. It's got a nice noise when you stop on the gas
  3. They have a nice style - mature but sporty - just like the car
  4. Peace of mind that I have a quality muffler from a well known Japanese manufacturer

my car was put on the dyno and I can't remember the exact numbers, but i think there was a 2-5hp gain (bone stock except for mufflers). Not a lot but then again, what do you expect from a rear section muffler?

oh yeah, the tips are definitely not off center. they have a very nice snug fit with the bumper's muffler cut outs.

i forgot to mention - my friend also has a g35 sedan sport AND these mufflers as well. he is very happy with them as well.

Thanks for the pics. I've love to get a sound clip of the exhaust in action.

Brings back memories of the summer time when my black car wasn't covered in salt pretending to be IP.

Nice pics man. I also love the rims on your ride. Very clean car man.. I will be looking into these also, But don't want to pay over $580 for mufflers..
