3 months update on mpg/fun factor loss after applying throttle mapping TSB
I think I'm in a minority here..but it happened to me couple of times before the having the TSB done....I was starting from the stop light and take a turn and see the traffic stalled..and my G was ready to jump on the traffic ahead.... somehow I was able to avoid the accident.....
I feel the G can be "tamed" more easily now....and the mpg is a bonus which I could care less if it did or not....

I had this TSB done a few months ago, i guess i like the throttle response better than before, no more jumpy starts for me, the power is still there no doubt i guess just like someone had mentioned in one of the post that its more "civilized".. i really wasn't after the mpg difference i just wanted a more smoother throttle...
I just went on a 400 mile trip over the weekend and i averaged 24 mpg highway, city usually i get about 15-16
Thanks OP for the review

I like the fact that you don't have to even think about bracing your coffee cup when you're getting ready to leave a stop light. The slight easing into the throttle may take a bit of the edge off the initial launch but I've gotten to apreciate it. I wouldn't go back~but I'm 46 so maybe I'm a geezer around here, lol

Definitely prefer a post-update version. I commute and often spend a part of the trip in stop and go traffic, which wasn't a very pleasant experience with a jumpy throttle response. The car still takes off when I need it to... plenty of speed to spare. MPG improvement I think is about 2-3 mpg at most, not of too much importance but is welcome esp. with 20K miles a year driven.
