I think I'm in a minority here..but it happened to me couple of times before the having the TSB done....I was starting from the stop light and take a turn and see the traffic stalled..and my G was ready to jump on the traffic ahead.... somehow I was able to avoid the accident.....
I feel the G can be "tamed" more easily now....and the mpg is a bonus which I could care less if it did or not....

I had this TSB done a few months ago, i guess i like the throttle response better than before, no more jumpy starts for me, the power is still there no doubt i guess just like someone had mentioned in one of the post that its more "civilized".. i really wasn't after the mpg difference i just wanted a more smoother throttle...

I just went on a 400 mile trip over the weekend and i averaged 24 mpg highway, city usually i get about 15-16

Thanks OP for the review

The slight easing into the throttle may take a bit of the edge off the initial launch but I've gotten to apreciate it. I wouldn't go back~but I'm 46 so maybe I'm a geezer around here, lol The car still hauls ***!
I'm with you on this. My mpg only went up an average of 1-2mpg, but the car is much more civilized in normal driving. You learn to deal with the sensitive throttle, but it's nice not to have to worry about it anymore.

Definitely prefer a post-update version. I commute and often spend a part of the trip in stop and go traffic, which wasn't a very pleasant experience with a jumpy throttle response. The car still takes off when I need it to... plenty of speed to spare. MPG improvement I think is about 2-3 mpg at most, not of too much importance but is welcome esp. with 20K miles a year driven.

my gas mileage didn't go up after the TSB, and I can't say the car is any less fun. If you want to have fun, just floor it . It'll take off pre or post-TSB about the same.

For those who have an X with applied TSB, does normal throttle tip-in feel like snow mode? Is snow mode tip-in the same as pre-flash?
