For me, the choice came down to transmission. I drove a 6MT and liked it and decided to get a manual - so I bought an '08. If I had decided on an automatic, I would have waited for an '09 to get the 7AT.

09 g37 sedan

While this comparison is a bit apples and oranges, it does expose the increased value of the 09's (and resulting decreased value of old stock 08's), noting that the 09 msrp increase is insignificant. My Boxster S is different from the standard boxster in 100 ways but 3 of the most signficant are power, transmission and braking. Driving the 2 different models exposes these 3 factors to be the difference between a nice ragtop and a sports car. Anyone fairly comparing the 09 g37 sedan to the 08 must do so measuring the value of content difference in the $thousands. The additional fact that 08's are 1 year old and will be sharply discounted to 09's in resale 3 years from now makes the value of in-stock unsold 08's worse than a failing financial stock because, while that stock value may recover if held long enough, 08 g35's will only lose more value each day. I would say that today 29k would not entice me into a new 08 journey/premium based upon the huge stock and increased content of 09's.

Alot of complaints about the 07-08 having rattles that can't be fixed, and wind noise.
I've got 10k on my 08, and wouldn't consider buying another infniti. In fact I'm thinking of getting rid of this one.

Buyer Beware

Wind noise happens in ALL cars, some are just worse then others.
