I think that they are waiting until after the end of the third quarter before they start selling these car so that sales of the 09 model G will impact their Q4 books and not Q3.

 

OK but then they are showing all those produced 2009's (thousands?) in inventory... paying taxes on it...

 

Taxes have to be paid sooner or later...

 

I just got an email back from a dealer here in the bay area that the RWD G37 will be available 10/10 and the AWD will be two weeks later.

 

I got the same email from my dealer in Atlanta too. Mid Oct. 2008 on lots.

 

Got a call from my dealer a few days ago; he said my X will be arriving end of October.

 

heard same thing here in Ottawa, Canada.

Still deciding between the 328xi though...tough call !

 

Thats strange...I have called 5 dealerships between louisiana and texas and all of them said the drop dates have pushed back to mid/late november. I was thinking of picking a different vehicle but if they are really dropping mid october i will wait. Also I was told that each dealership was getting ONE g37 sedan to put on the showroom until mid/late november but it was not for sale. Someone let me know something firm about the drop date..thanks.

 

Well, it looks like the Koreans are already enjoying the G37 sedan as of September 18th.

I could've sworn I jst saw a few on the midwest distribution lot, in West Chicago Illinois. I drive by there every week. It had to be. Those new wheels look strange.

 

Figures soon,, but the dropped all the special incentives for the 08's as of 10/1 so wither they cleaned out inventory or are not worried about what is left.

I certainly hope the December date is ONLY for the M35....

Looks like October is it. A dealer in the bay area claims that the RWD will drop mid month with the x hitting at the end of the month.

 

The ones I saw looked like they had the new sport wheels on them. They were being unloaded off a train into the middle of the lot. It is a toyota/lexus, nissan/infiniti and VW lot. Usually when something new comes out, they put them in the middle so people don't notice them. Like they did with the new FX. Toyota did the same with there new models. I guess people around here know where to look. Then go back to the dealers saying they saw their car. These cars get shipped through out the midwest. It is the first stop from the pacific port.
