Question: What do you call a guy with no arms and no legs lying on the front porch?

The night we bought the G35, I ordered rubber mats and a trunk liner from Weathertech. I know, I know, not the most exciting mod but I've been putting these in every car I own for the last 13 years. In the Northeast, winter means snow, salt, and sand. It can really degrade carpeting in a hurry. These mats can hold a fair amount of liquid and grime. My wife and I are fairly careful about what we track into the car but our kids could care less. The trunk liners are great if you encounter a bag of fertilizer from Home Depot with a hole in it or a carton of milk springs a leak on the way home from the grocery store. It also contains sand after a day at the beach. You can always take them out in summer or if you want the car to look a little nicer. For $235 it seems like a cheap way to keep a car looking and smelling new. There's likely other brands that will do just as well but these things are pretty much indestructible.

Same guy thrown in a pile of leaves. . . Rustle

Same guy thrown in the water . . . Bob

Same guy hanging on a wall . . . Art

Oh, and I picked up a set of Infiniti mats when I picked up my car. Had em in my M and, although they did end up looking a little ragged after 3 years I have to say that they did a good job protecting the carpets. At the time, Weathertech didn't have the M's specific size. Also the Infiniti mats run about $95 or so for the floor mats. Not sure about the trunk but I'm sure that's a big chunk more.

Take some pics if you don't mind so we can see how they fit and look once installed.

Is there a cheaper online vendor from which to get the Weathertech trunk mat or should I just order it from Weathertech?

I've always just ordered from Weathertech but if memory serves me, I think I've seen other websites offering their mats. I can't remember price differences though. But, I do remember seeing a lot of competing products that are probably good too. I just sort of stuck with these because it seems like they always have mats for any car I own and they last for the life of the car.

Update

Based on your question, I did a quick Google search and found Autoanything. They have a bunch of competing brands including Weathertech. Some of the other mats look pretty good including one called Hexomat.

I checked the pricing against what I paid.

Weathertech - front & rear mats + trunk liner.....$219.90 + $15.00 shipping = $234.90 Total

Autoanything - front & rear mats + trunk liner.....$252.90 + $0.00 shipping = $252.90 Total

$18 difference, not huge. And as I said, there do appear to be a bunch of alternative mats to choose from.
