if you have nothing on your HDD except the NAv, little or no songs, can you check what the free space is...

something went wrong with my HDD I just want to check if its really cleared out or the files r just "hidding" somewhere.

Mine is empty as the car is brand new. If someone wants to tell me how to check, I am more than happy to check for you.

hi that would be great when in music box, chosen with the aux button, it will say no audio file, u click menu on the screen should bring u to option or settings and you can view free space/used space there. Thanks

I just went through your direction (perfect, BTW) and in the unused space on my never used, 2 day old 2008 it says 155:28. If there is something else I need to look up, let me know.

Mine is also empty and is 155:28. The salesman in his initial walk-through loaded a CD onto the drive which I have since deleted via the "clear music box data" option.
