The FI exhaust is the best thing I have done to my sedan.
I absolutely love the exhaust note now... and the wife hates it... which just adds to it's appeal

it's a lot deeper than the coupe...coupe has a very soft but deep tone...the FI exhaust makes it sound like an exotic at high rpms...normal driving, i say the exhaust has a similar sound but it is deeper and louder...but that might be because i have HFC's too...

It sounds like you haven't tested the 05 coupe yet. I'm think once you drive the coupe you will want the 07 sedan more. I was originally looking at 1st gen coupes as well, as I had been pining for one since 2003. I drove an 05, 03 and another 05. The 05 was a lot smoother than the 03 I tested, but then I drove an 07 sedan and i was 100% positive that was the right choice.

Don't get me wrong, the old gen coupe is great and looks stunning, but it felt a bit dated and not so premium. Which is fine considering its an older car.

I went from a 2006 g35 coupe to a 2007 g35x.

Pros and cons of both

2006 coupe (loaded every option):
Pros:
-Looks much better imo
-Stock sport package is amazing
-Seats grip better
-More fun to drive
-Handles better w/ the sport package
-Rays 19's FTW

Cons:
-stock potenzas suck in any colder climate
-technology is way behind
-No DS mode
-Older VQ35DE engine

2007 g35x (prem, nav):
Pros:
-Much faster than the coupe (newer VQ35HR)
-Technology is amazing (especially with navi.)
-Seats are very comfortable but don't grip you at all.
-The dash is much nicer (colors, placement of *****, etc.) and feels like it was put together better

Cons:
-Looks boring!
-Stock 17's ugly
-Handles much worse(doesn't stick to the ground as much)
-Stock height is much higher than 06 g35 sport coupe.
-NO RAYS 19'S

With that said, I wouldn't mind a loaded '06 Athens Blue coupe right about now. 06 and 07 g35 coupes are the best to go with if you go the coupe route. They have the latest upgrades including projectors and upgraded interiors.

07 sedan faster but doesn't handle as well. I got it because in the northeast this car is more practical than a rear wheel drive coupe with summer tires.

Forgot to mention, the 06 sport coupe brakes were awesome never any problems always smooth. The 07 g35x brakes warped right away.

I went from 04 5AT coupe nav, prem, sport to 08 5AT sedan nav, prem, sport.
Everything is absolutely better than the coupe: faster, bigger, looks nicer inside and out. The sport package gives adjustable thigh and torso support, so the seat grips just like coupes did. The only thing I miss is the unforgettable exhaust sound. Does any one know which after market exhaust gets close in the sound tone?

Dont do it! Go for 2010+ g37

Save the headaches of finding parts. Just move up to a 10+ g37
