I dont think it would be a big Diff!? Hopefully im wrong!
I tried the Irwindale 1/8 last Thursday but never really been on the track so i just watched lol!!...So Please do PM about special events!

Back to topic..I wonder what the 1/4 on the 2009 g37 sedan would be compared to ours because of the extra weight??...Pretty sure the 7AT would make that up tho!!...

That's a bizarre conclusion to draw...

The article says that the G37 is just as fast, should be slightly easier on fuel, and is much smoother and more refined vs. the current G35.

I have no doubt an auto without sport package will be faster.

the older g35 is quicker, and less weight. Also, the car really isn't restyled or change from the previous 35. Hence G35 sedan > G37 sedan.

we will have to wait and see for the 7 AT review. That may be the leap forward.

Admittedly, the results of various G35 Sports ranged as high as 5.5 seconds to 60 and 14.1 seconds through the quarter, and our G37 was a nearly factory-fresh car with a green motor, so there’s a chance the latest G could improve its results.
They're saying an un-broken-in G37 almost matched the fastest G35 tested, implying the average broken-in G37 should be slightly faster than the average G35.

I agree that the 7AT G37 should be faster than the 6MT G37, but I don't understand what the sport package has to do with it.

[I'd still get the "row-your-own" 6MT even if it is slightly slower.]

Sport package adds a lot of unsprung weight in the form of a BBK.

Keep in mind, the STI is heavier than the WRX, which is heavier than a 2.5i.

The EVO is heavier than the Ralliart, which is heavier than the base lancer.

911 Turbo is heavier than the S, which is heavier than the base.

See the trend?

So, what color is the sky in your world?

In the near future, dynos, road tests and owner reviews are going to prove that the G37 sedan will be superior to the G35 in all respects and in all trim levels.

I'm thinking that Infiniti made the '09 wheels so ugly in order to pacify the wounded psyche of 07-08 owners.

I see a lot of 07-08 owners getting the new 09 rims so they can upgrade to the BBK
