A few thoughts:
- I'll happily take an even trade in acceleration performance with the outgoing G35 if it comes with a smoother engine, and better brakes.
- A single panic stop does not indicate real brake performance. A single stop on cool brakes is ALWAYS tire, not brake, limited. And extra 3ft on run #1 makes sense with more weight, but I'd bet my house the new sport brakes stop quicker by the 3rd or 4th hard stop when the brakes are hot.
- Hadn't heard about the coupe steering rate going into the sport sedans. That's got me pretty stoked.
- Interesting that they tested a manual but photographed an automatic.
- There is a good picture in the photos that clearly shows the violet "sub-ring" in the gauges is still there.
- Cool that the car pictured is the same color combo I ordered. I was reluctant to get the gray interior with the garnet but I think it looks good in the article.
- The spoiler question continues to infuriate me. I WANT THAT SPOILER IN THE PHOTOS! But I'm scared to order it with the spoiler because other photos I've seen have the old "floating" spoiler that I don't like at all. How to know which one I'd end up with?!?

"The steering is also revised for rear-drive G37 Sports, as they adopt the G37 Sport coupe’s quicker-ratio rack; it’s talkative, lively, and accurate. We greatly prefer this setup to the steering in base and all-wheel-drive cars, which, in addition to being slower, sacrifices some feel"....CAR AND DRIVER

wow... it performs the same as my 2008 6MT...
Maybe the 7AT is better, but I'd order the 6spd again if I were doing it over again in '09.
Nice to see no drastic changes besides terrible looking wheels and more weight. My '08 will hold value just fine
