I don't think it's going to be that high. I pieced some information that I picked up from the forums and posted my analysis of what I think my G37 sedan will cost in another thread. I also heard from my dealer that 3.9% financing will be available for Tier 0. This is from another thread, but I think below is the way that it will likely pan out:
So I am bored, but decided to do some calculations for the car I ordered based on some posts I've seen between myG37 and here:
G37 6MT with premium, nav, tech, splash guards:
Base: $33850 (based on some info from myG37, the coupe 6MT went up $800)
Premium: $2500 (assuming no price increase for remainder below given original poster's observations)
Navigation: $2150
Tech: $1100
Splash: $150 (don't know why this was $5 less, but I'll take it)
Delivery: $815
Total: $40565 (up from $39770 from 2008, $795 difference)
If the dealership sells/leases me the car for the negotiated price of $500 over invoice:
1) Assuming invoice price including shipping of $36987.50 (based on percentage of invoice/MSRP calculated on Edmunds (pre-shipping charge) of 91%)(2008: $36282, difference $705.50)
2) I should hopefully have an agreed upon price of $37487.50 (not including tax, title, blah, blah, etc.)
What's the point of all these numbers? Nothing. I'm bored waiting for my car. The interesting thing will be the residuals and money factor or if I decide to buy, interest rates. Anyone else want to throw in some speculation regarding money factors/residuals? What were the residuals doing last year when the '08's came in?
BTW, I did some calculations based on early '08's (October '07), 36 month, 15K lease with MF .00284 and residual of 53% and came out to $650 including tax; late June numbers of 58% and MF of .00150 came out to $500 including tax. The lease payment would likely fall somewhere in between, however taken to extremes, this could mean a difference of $5000 over a three year lease with 15K miles.
