LOL what? I'm picking up my G37xS sedan on Saturday. It was delivered to the dealer last week. Another guy picked up his G37xS two weeks ago. Sounds like you dealer doesn't want to order any until all of his 2008s are gone.

What dealer? Infiniti of Lisle expects their first shipments to arrive in the begining of Dec.

Wow now I am really glad that I went ahead and got the G35 in May. No way I could have waited until January! This is not a good sign for Infiniti. Join the club, I guess?

Infiniti is holding the cars back because they want BMW, Lexus, Audi and everyone else have the first stab at all the customers that want a 2009 model.

Also, this way Infiniti can make a smaller profit or maybe even a loss at selling their 09 inventory in September 09 at firesale prices.

Basically, if they are holding their inventory at the ports just for the sole reason that 2008s are not moving, all they are doing is ****ing themselves in the *** again.

It seems that a lot of people aren't buying those leftover 08's b.c they are waiting for the 09's. If I was going to buy a new sedan right now I wouldn't want the 08 unless it was a big enough difference in cost. They have 5-6 08 X's with Premium Pkg going for 31k right now. They sticker at around $38k so that is a lot off, but I still wouldn't buy it. In fact my plan was to buy an 08 X until I found out about the 09's, so I bought my certified 05 and plan on buying an 09-10 in a year or two.

I'm the opposite. I wouldn't buy the first year of any change. Not even if it is only a trans and engine. I bought my 08 knowing infiniti does it's complete redesigns every 4-5 years. So in 4 years I'll be ready for the 2nd year of the total redisgn.

I wouldn’t buy that car. I WOULD LEASE IT! Do you realize what taking $7000 off the sticker will do for a lease? And even if the value decreases a lot after that you can just turn the car in at the end of the lease.

I don't know about the US but in Canada Infiniti lowered the residual and raised the interest rates on leases so it costs a lot more to lease an 09 than an 08.

I am not positive what the G37 lease numbers will be. However, the current G35 money factors are very good(.00098 for 36 months). The residuals are pitiful though(53%-55% for 24 months and 36 months)!

I have never seen equal residuals for 24 months and 36 months until now. "I pity the fool" who does a 24 month lease with those numbers!
