I just noticed mine doing it today. Only does it when driving above 70 mph. It doesn't make any noise, just a shaking on the passenger seatback. I thought it was from the open sunroof but that didn't stop the seat from vibrating.

To all fella G. I fixed it last 2-3 month ago by using SPONGE

Insert the sponge about 2-3 inches thick and 8-10 inches wide into the back plastic panel of the passenger seat. You need to insert from the top.Push it in..don't worry.no one would ever notice.

Trust me the ploblem will be gone.no more vibrate!!!

I have a 2008 and I don't notice any noise coming from my passenger seat. The one thing I do hear though is occasionally from my driver side door panel. I would ask the dealer to check it, but it seems any time I ask for a door panel to be taken off its fixed for a few months and then worse than when it first went in.

I will try to have picture for you today.and No! the sponge doesn't keep out the vibrate but it keep out the sound from vibrating which is came from the rear panel and the seat when shaking. You can try it by knocking the seat and see where it come from.

Mine G is quiet since i fixed it.I don know if this is the same ploblem with you guy.

Earth0, can you post a pic of what you did?

Does anyone have a definitive fix? I tried tilting back the seat but it still vibrates! I actually don't know what part of the seat is making the noise... ARGH!

I noticed this and it was driving me crazy. It seems only to have started happening in the last few months. I used to keep the headrest up a little bit but then put it flush with the seat. This is when I noticed the shaking. I am going to pull the headrest back up a few notches and see if it makes any difference.

Exactly....20's and I had a bad passenger seat vibration. I had the rims balanced 3 times to try and cure the problem.

I have the same problem with the 19's on my car.
And its NYC is bad theres a pothole or bump every 2 feet.
It seems like also the seat belt holder has something to do with it..

I honestly can't tell what's making the noise but something on the seat is. I wouldn't care if the seat vibrated with no noise! I've thought about the headrest, these seatbelt adjuster... I just can't pinpoint it!

i think it was determined to be the plastic backing on the passenger seat as per some previous posts in this thread, the solution was apparently to stuff a piece of thick foam betwwe the seat and the plastic backing

I didn't notice this on mine until my 5 year old son says to me, "Dad, why is the seat shaking?". Now I notice it every day!

Yup, my passenger seat vibrated, too! My dealer fixed it under warranty. They indicated they had to "reattach some trim piece". They couldn't be more specific, the tech was not there when I picked up the car. Bottom line, the passenger seat just sits there very still and quiet now. By the way, I have an x with standard 17" wheels.
