Whats anyone's opinion of the illuminated kickplates?

If I can get the illuminated kickplates thrown into my current deal for no extra money, should I do it? do you guys generally like them or not? I think they are cool, but I don't need them. My thinking here is that I think I can get a little something extra from my deal. So I wold rather do something like this that requires an install instead of something like say - all weather mats that can simply be thrown in, i'd rather do that. thoughts? I'd love some second/third opinions.

If you can get it thrown in for no extra $ go ahead and do it. The regular ones look cheap compared to the illuminated ones so that's why I got them on my car. Plus, the illuminated ones clean up the car nicely, even tho u only see them for 2 seconds. If you want to DIY, the install isn't too bad (anywhere b/w 30min-1hr) depending on how careful you are. Also, u can search driver and u will find a couple of threads on the install.

I love them, and they're worth it, even if you're only looking at your car for half a sec.

If you can get them thrown in, do it! What I think will end up happening is that they'll suggest that it is too expensive of an add to negotiations. At that point you might be able to just have them do the install free and get the illuminated plates at wholesale.

What's the going rate on these? Also, any other good place(s) to source these from besides Riverside?

So check it - I talked to my dealer and they said they would throw in the illuminated Kicks in at no charge! Sweet! I'll keep you posted, but my quote is in the negotiated deal thread. I'm going on Saturday to try to nail it down. still have to sell my current car, or take a trade in, but its starting to come together!
