I have an '08 sedan with less than 3000 miles on it and there is an annoying creaking coming from where the cloth seams are at about 10oclock on the drivers side A pillar. If I push up on that area, the creaking seems to go away. It has no impact if i have the window open or closed. I've been working 10-12 hour days and really don't have time to take it to the dealer. Is there any easy way to seperate the inside materal without breaking anything or special tools that I would need?
Or should I just take it to the dealer and have them monkey around with it and pray they don't make it worse?

 

I am having the same issues with my 07 sedan but it is the passenger side. It has been driving me nuts. I thought it was the windshield touching the dash. It started after I had my windshield replaced. The glass shop went so far and to install a new windshield an that's when we figured out it was the A pillar. My car will be at the dealer on Monday I will post an update.

 

Weird guys a lot a heard a rattling nosie on my passager side of my 08 yesterday at idle but it went away. I thought I was crazy.. LOL

 

mine is going in monday as well.

 

mine seems to be ok now, with minor creaking in the dash, maybe that is just because of the moving steering column.

anyway here is what they did:
remove and insulate A pillar moulding and drain tube/wiring.
in this area, also lube sunroof weather strip.

on the way home i didn't hear any creaking coming from the A pillar area.
