My '07 G35X is Red Pearl (paint code A51). I looked for pre-painted spoilers and such but nobody offers this color code. I did a search of this forum for "red pearl" and got no hits. Even the picture share forum here does not include Red Pearl as a factory color. There are thousands of Garnet Ember. I'm not sure but my car, purchased pre-owned at an Infiniti dealer, may have been a fleet car. Anyone else here have a Red Pearl or is mine the only one on earth?

 

I have good news for you.
If your car is color code A51 it is not red Pearl it is Garnet Ember, red Pearl is not a factory color. It sounds like some salesman just listed your used car that color when he advertised it before you bought it.
Your car is color code A51 which is the color code for Garnet Ember.
Order the prepainted spoiler for Garnet Ember (A51) and you will have a match.

I think you are the only one on earth!!! I suggest you dont drive it at all (you dont wanna put miles on a one of a kind car), go out and buy a really nice camera, take some sick pictures, and go sell it on ebay for 1 billion dollars!!!

Strange. When I ordered touch up paint from Paintscratch.com it showed A51 as "red pearl" in the '07 G35. There is a Garnet Fire AY2 as well as another red called Redline AX6. I checked out the '08 colors and it shows only one red...A51 red pearl. The color chip is definitely not garnet ember. It has a lot of blue in it.

Now I don't know whether to use the touch up paint or not. Either the code or name is wrong. Paintscratch.com has usually been pretty good in the past for me.

 

I believe Redline AX6 is used on the 350z and Garnet Fire may be the first gen G35 "red".

 

Well if your paint code that is on your car says A51 then you have Garnet Ember. Easy Peezie

I don't know if I would order from that site. Why not just go to your nearest dealer. It should cost you less then what you would pay for these guys.

Some of the colors are screwed up. Gray pearl WTF?

You can probably get it from the dealer for half and it would be the right one for sure.

"Always verify your color code on your vehicle! Do not order paint based on the paint name or color samples shown above."

 

Yeah, I ordered by the paint code. I received A51 red pearl. Guess I'll put a piece of scotch tape on the paint and add a drop of touch up for comparison.

 

Car has been put on jacks and garage hermetically sealed. See me at Barrett Jackson in 2050. P.S. I'd take a pic but there is a Nor'easter outside today.

It may be that 'red pearl' is simply descriptive of the paint -- it's red, and it's pearl paint -- not necessarily suggesting that is Infiniti's code for it.
