Rain Sensing Wipers ???

I have a 2008 G35x with all options (Prem, Nav, Sport) except technology pkg. Can someone verify if rain sensing wipers are part of the packages installed? Or do we only have mist, intermittent and lo / hi on our cars?

I thought I read somewhere we have them but now can't find it in owners manual or supplied docs.

Thanks

We DO NOT have rain sensing wipers, however we DO have speed sensitive wipers, whcih cause the the intermittent wiper delay to change according to your speed(if you go faster the delay is shorter therefore more "wiping" )...

I miss my rain sensor wipers.....
I didn't expect them to be a big deal when I got my BMW, but they really are a nice feature.

The speed sensor is a nice improvement over 1st gen fixed interval wipers though.

^^^ I'm the opposite . I am soooo glad I don't have them, if I did they would be disabled. Never really liked them.

Now give me a heated steering wheel and I would be happy

The wife's MDX has them.
When it's a nice day and bang, it starts to rain, they're awesome. They turn on and adjust their speed to keep the window clean of water. They work well.

When it's just slightly raining, or misting, anytime past dusk, they absolutely suck. Even on the most sensitive setting, they never sweep when they need to. Acura then took these stupid things one step further by offering low and high speeds for the wipers, but to use int, the rain sensor is the only option.

I agree... I'm happy the G doesn't have them.

Now give me ventilated seats, and I'm happy.

I am with gee35x. It is more annoying then usefull and it would of been turned off. Maybe one or the oher works better. It is at your fingertip anyways. I usually adjust it to the lowest setting on intermitten. So if it starts raining just flipp the switch and good to go.

I think Infiniti did a good job picking the features for the G. Ventilated seats would be nice but not a must. I never had problem with my a$$ being cooked in summer. I had it in my SAAB and it was good but I don't miss it. I think it helps to have the car in the garage so the seat is not hot to begin with.

I don't think it would be to hard to set up a ventillated seat in our G. The seats are perforated already.

I agree, rain sensing wipers are annoying. My mom's Volvo XC90 has them and I don't like them at all. ventilated seats would be a plus, but not needed. Keeping it in the garage keeps the seats nice and cool.

It really depends on the car I guess....
Had them on one car & they weren't all that great.
But, on the BMW they were the cat's a$$, they just always seemed to be at the right speed.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the feedback. Wasn't aware of the speed sensing wipers. Good to know. I have rain sensing in my other car and find them quite nice.

Depends on which car you are coming from.

On my dad's old benz E320 and my 06 300C it worked FLAWLESSLY. I never touched the wiper stalk unless i was going into car wash (to dsiable them from turning on). On the Mazda 3, its really crappy, you constnatly had to adjsut it.

I really miss the rain sense wipers and the LANE change feature on my 300C. Oh and the auto tilting mirrors and dimming mirrrors on the exterior rear view.
