Awd + 6mt

I love the new G37 sedan and will be in the market for a new ride in the coming year. I'm holding out for an G37xS with clutch....I've heard rumors that it may be offered. Do any knowledgeable folks here know more?

The X has been out since '03 and they have never offered a MT so I doubt they will release a sedan X version MT.
On that note, the coupe X version just came out this year and it's my speculation if Infiniti were to release an X MT, it would be on the coupe...but I don't know if that's going to happen either.

Infiniti has never offered an AWD vehicle in MT. Why would they start now?

Get a 335xi, chip it, and call it a day while you beat e92 M3's by virtue of your own dexterity as opposed to what some computer can do.

Thanks everyone.....

I appreciate the comments. Too bad, I know folks here in MN that would buy them.

Well, the new S4 is certainly on my short list. Hell, I would have probably settled for the new A4 2.0 as it is little bigger on the inside and has more power, but as of 09' it does not come with a clutch! What's up with that! I was very excited about the new TL, which as most know will supposedly be available with MT in 10'. Problem is, it's so ugly, it makes me want to barf! Sorry, wrong post.

Yeah, too bad the TL looks like a Pontiac Aztek

Subaru Legacy GT. AWD, manual, reasonably cheap, very easy/cheap to mod with large aftermarket. You can probably get on the order of +25hp with just a plug-and-play Cobb Access Port.

Thanks, but....

I've looked at the Subaru and I'm not a big fan. First of all, I don't fit in it: my head is pinned against the headliner unless I severely recline the seat. And, it is just not as refined as the G35, TL, BMW, Audi, etc. I'm hopeful there will be a new, more powerful, more refined Legacy for 10'.

To Op,

The new Audi A4 (B8 Platform) does have a six-speed manual which is scheduled for January release.

Yes, the TL is extremely ugly. You should consider a 2008 BMW 335xi sedan/coupe before they run out!

Also you mentioned the "x" model. Curious, if snow is a huge issue, from what I understand the 2009 G37Sport sedan with "bliz x" tires do perfect in the snow. I currently reside in Salt Lake City, Utah and we have snow and I'm about to give my G35x to someone else for a RWD coupe or sedan equipped with the above snow tire :P

Not sure, but I think tekieru meant to say "Blizzaks", as in Bridgestone Blizzaks.

I wouldn't worry about AWD too much; the Sport Sedan should be fine with the right tires. I bought a 2007 G35S when it first came out, and totalled it last December - 90% due to keeping the summer tires on during a DC snowstorm.

I have a 2009 G37S on its way (should be here next week!) and the first aftermarket purchase I'm making is on the Bridgestone Blizzaks. I've seen nothing but great reviews on them.

Thanks for your opinions...

on how she'll handle in the snow. Yes, I knew what he meant: Blizzaks. I've heard good things about them. My wife will be driving the car quite a bit, so I know she'd prefer AWD, but it seems like it won't be a big deal with the right tires.

Please post pics once you take possession of your new S.

I'm also glad to hear Audi will be offering a MT eventually on their 2.0T A4 with Quattro. I certainly eager to test drive it, along with the G37 coupe...there are no S sedans available to drive in MN, at least now.

Yeah oops, people always say "Bliz X" so I assumed that was how you spelled it. My bad... haha.
