This Just In To My Driveway

I just got an e-mail from my dealer:
Your car arrived this morning, you will be pleased to know it has the new spoiler (looks great). We will need to service the car and get it detailed, the only person to drive it will be the servicing technician. I am thinking tomorrow is perfect for delivery if that works for you, let me know. I'll bet you thought this would never happen! You should be aware you will have the first sport sold in the Southeast and the only Red one currently in the U.S..

That's Garnet Ember with Stone interior
Sport
Premium
Nav
Rear Spoiler

I'm going to pick it up today (Tuesday) and should have it home soon. I had no idea which spoiler was going to be on it, but now we know it is the lip spoiler. It will be dark when I get it home, so I will try to post pics of it when I can. I've waited a long time for the car, so you can imagine that I am very excited that it is finally here!

Congrats man! Can't wait to see it. And remember, G35Driver loves pics, TONS of pics please. Maybe post a short write up of your initial thoughts too if you have time.

I bet that you'll be taking the scenic route (and then some) back home from the dealership!

Funny you should say that because I asked the sales dude what the break in period was and he said that I could just "drive it like I stole it" on the way home. I didn't do that, but I enjoyed my 9-mile drive home on city streets, no highways.

Initial impressions: Quiet car, fast, smooth transmission, paddle shifters are fun, XM radio sounds great, iPod integration is wonderful, bluetooth phone controls work flawlessly.

Still to learn: navi voice commands, how it drives on the highway.

Atlanta is in a terrible drought right now, and I discovered that the best way to ease the drought is to go buy a new car. Right now it is supposed to rain for the next two days, so the G37 stays in the garage until the roads dry. I'll drive my 1997 Acura CL until things clear up.

Pictures soon...I promise. I know you all want to see how the spoiler looks!

I think I am about to cry, I was at the Infiniti dealer last week and just looked around a bit and saw a Nissan held G37 xS. I wanted to just break into the car and drive it home, man it looked nice eventhough it was night time. I can't wait to get one, looking at the car sold me right then and there on a xS. Like I told the salesman I never plan to drive it in the rain let alone snow, but it is nice to have AWD.

The pics are coming...it is pouring here in Atlanta and I want to take them outside as who wants to see the car in my grungy garage. So no pics until it stops raining, which might not be until Friday I am told.

We need the rain, but there is no way I am getting that car dirty right now!

Congratulations on your new ride!

My dealer just called me 20 minutes ago and said my 09 arrived today. I'm looking forward to picking it up on Sunday!

Congrats guys on getting your G37's. It's better to see that people are happier these days now that the 37's are starting to roll out. I was getting tired of all the complaining. Exclusivity was nice for the past 7 weeks though .
