Well according to the tire person. I could have sworn I saw in the manual that it has to be in the mid 30s, which is where I had it, but lately I was getting the flat tire light. I took it to the tire guy to check them out and he said I need them to be no more than 44. Your thoughts.

 

NO way. FOR STOCK: in winters you should have it higher to avoid the light.

Summer: ~33
Winter: ~36

 

44 I really hope you are joking. That is way too high. I run 34 psi all around and sometimes bump it up to 35 psi max.

 

I run 32 year round!

 

I run mine a tad higher due to the softer sidewalls on these Kumhos, I tend to run 38 front / 36 rear.

 

Well I refilled the tires to 40-42.

I previously had them at 30, which is what might have caused the flat tire light to go off.

 

I think the guy was probably talking about the maximum pressure for the tires which is different from what infiniti would recommend.

 

as you drive the tire heats up and tire pressure increses... i would have it at 38 max in the winter, preferrably 36-37 psi front and 35-36 rear for winter, 34-35 front and 33-34 rear for summer

 

Thirty is too low. Your gauge is maybe +/- 1 to 2 psi and that COULD put you in the 28-29 area which DOES set off the TPM.

 

you said no more... not no less. He was simply stating the maximum pressure that the tire is rated for. industry standard is 32-35psi cold.

How can I remove some air from the tires? Can't I just use that stick thingy to measure the pressure to remove air?

 

Just depress the center pin in the valve stem.

 

Check the sticker on the inside of the driver door. My 06 says 33psi all around.

 

I've always wondered about the sticker. Doesn't it only apply to people with stock tires? What is the recommendation for folks with 19s and 20s? I would think the pressure has got to be higher than the manufacturer recommendations. Comments?

 

I think it'd only apply to stock size tires on stock wheels.
