Hope you never get a flat...It will tough to put on the spare if your lug key is at home.

Any links to which locks would work best? I know there is a lot of talk about the right kind and I'm not 100% sure which they are.

Thanks!

We need someone to develop an alarm system that has a mace sprayer in the wheel wells or some form of high voltage shocker that could zap these f*ckers.

Sorry for your loss...

Sorry to hear about your car. Definitely put locks on them from here on out. I have McGuards on mine, which comes with 2 different locks on each wheel.

And to those that say they don't work and it only slows them down, that may be true but I would rather slow them down and take a chance that it will be a deterrent than to not have any on. How many times have you heard stories that rims were stolen from a car with wheel locks versus without? I'm sure not as many.

damn this is getting rediculous...isn't this like the 5th thread about wheels getting jacked? sorry for your loss...this blows...seems like the only way to prevent something like this from happening is to stay up really late...or have a pitbull chained in the front yard

Check out these wheel locks for you next set of wheels

The Dency 2000 Wheel Nuts by KYO-EI, the same company that produces Kics spaces, utilizes and electronic magnetic key for superior theft prevention.

Electronic Key
Developed with leading manufacturer Miaw lock
Locks with powerful magnetic force, duplication would be very difficult
With the adoption of the ferrite magnet, high degree of safety
Because there is no key hole, makes it very hard to pick
Lightweight form for improved wheel balance.

Core Nut Key
Abundant lock pattern.
Preventing the slide with the form which thought of the dispersion of torque.
Super hard (SCM435) forging for increased durability
IMO they are the best on the market.
They have two locking mechanisms in place.
One is a magnet that removes the cap and then you need another key to remove the nut it self
By having a cap over the nut it makes a cap to spin freely without turning the nut So unless someone has the key to remove the cap there is no way they are getting to your lock.

You can find them on Ebay or I also found them on this site

The biggest problem with most of these wheel locks is that if you have a set yourself, then you have the key for everybody's. Try to put yourself in the thieve's shoes... I'd pay $100 to steal someone's $3k wheels... better yet, I might find a few more sets of wheels with the same key.

I would assume that the pattern of the key is diff for every set of locks

At least that's what I was told about OEM locks

I could not find allot of information about these locks on the net so I don't know if the electronic/magnetic key for the cap is somehow different for every set. But I bet if Japs had enough brain power to come up with such locks they certainly made sure that each set has a specific key.

And I doubt that thieves walk around with a **** load of keys in their pockets

All they need is these two tools
