$500 over invoice: good or bad?
$500 over invoice: good or bad?
Just left a deposit for a platinum graphite G37 sedan with sport/tech/navi/premium and aero package at $500 over invoice. If any factory to dealer incentives apply, this should be deducted from the sales price.
I insisted on a port-to-dealer car (no dealer swaps) with less than 30 miles on the odometer. It may take up to 90 days to deliver, according to the dealer.
Is this deal satisfactory, especially in this economic climate? Leasing (i.e. "renting"
) wasn't an issue, and I predict I'll keep the car long enough to disregard the massive 1-2 depreciation hit.
There was a new 08 FX45 that stickered for $56k going for $41k that was real tempting, but the G sedan's performance advantage was too much to ignore.

Should we start a 09 negotiated deals thread?

Yes! I'll be buying my G in March-April and I want to see what others are paying so I know where I should be when I negotiate mine!

I have $300 over invoice right now on a 09 G37XS Moonlight White with Premium, Nav, and Sport. Car should be arriving first week of January. Had to be re-routed to the dealership I was dealing with.

0000A3, sounds like a good deal, especially for California. Maybe $500 over invoice is being to generous on my part!

Where are you in NC, which dealer? I have been talking to Infiniti of Charlotte about a similar deal.

I've had a few guys PM me for stuff like 500 under invoice on a 09, and/or 0% financing for 72 months...
Any reasonable deal, I'd be more than happy to do.
I can also arrange for shipping around the country; feel free to call my cell guys for special pricing.

!!!
What is the problem with a dealer swap if everything else is what you wanted?
When I bought mine 5 years ago, I gave them my requirements, and my top 2 color choices, and they found it so I could get it in a week rather than months. And it had 7 miles on the odometer when I got it.

All I had to do was mention I was looking at a Lexus IS350 and my dealer bent over backwards to give me a good deal.
They said they didn't want to lose an Infiniti driver to a Lexus. LOL
