Which G to get?

looking at a map yourself and having navigation is totally different

Don't worry so much about what magazines say about the 6 speed's deficiencies. I love mine and have no regrets. Drive one and if you think the 6 speed does not live up to your expectations, then get the auto. Your approval of the tranny probably depends on what manual tranny cars you have driven in the past and what expectations you bring with you. Personally, I think this manual is the best I've driven. But I've never driven anything over $50K either.

Nobody "needs" anything. Hell, we all have feet, no need for a car. And if you want a car, you can get a Corolla, you don't "need" a G35/G37.

Options like that just make life easier, or more comfortable. Why cheap out on yourself?

That's the way I see it...
