Washed car and my trip for Thai carryout.

Let me begin by saying that this is not a thread about racing other people, but these were my observations from today. And before anyone says that I was egging people on, I really didn't, otherwise I would brag about it!

I know it's kinda crappy, but I haven't washed my car since delivery in October. I refuse to let anyone wash my car unless I have the time to take it to my detailer or I do it myself. G37 abuse yes, wheels were dirty as hell. So the car was cleaned today and looks great. The wife asked me to pick up Thai for carryout.

I pull out onto the street and I catch eyes from a BMW 530. The 530 follows me, and the guy has his head out listening to my exhaust. I shift lanes and he shifts. Soon he leaves and gives a thumbs up.

I then reach a stop light, and a middle aged gentleman in a CLS550 with his wife, girlfriend, whatever starts revving the gas, and completely takes off. I putter off and he slows and starts driving next to me, blipping the gas, as his passenger is yelling at him. I wave him off.

A couple of miles down the road, a lifted F250, with whatever diesel hell mods are under the hood starts gunning it. He gets next to me and purposely lets off one of those large huge plumes of smoke trying to get me to go and I wave him off.

I pick up the Thai and am kinda trying to figure out what happened on my drive to the restaurant when an Acura RL catches my eye as he is driving by looking at my car in the parking lot. He ends up curbing his right front wheel.

Stuff like this hasn't happened to me since I owned my heavily modified Grand, but it was a surreal day. The car looks completely stock with the winter tires other than the drop and exhaust. Must have been an off day or a combo of the car wash and Thai carryout or the stars aligned or something. Definitely an interesting experience.
