'08 G35 style vs. '05

Is it just me or is the new '08 interior styling on the g35 underwhelming? I was very excited to go drive an '08 g35 journey/premium (with the great bargins on '08's). After a test drive, I must say that I prefer the interior of my '05, especially the dash much more. The new one was a little quicker for sure, but I was expecting much more. Otherwise, it just didn't seem that much different from my 42K mile '05. maybe if I get wood trim

LOL

There are a lot of things I like about the 2nd gen interior, and most people seem to like it better. But personal preference is personal preference.

i really think that the 2nd gen interior is lightyears ahead of the 1st gen, that is MY opinion and the car is not just a little faster it is noticabliy faster throughout the powerband unlike last gen peak power burst.

You can really see the differnce in power whenon the highway and you punch it against the 1st gen, not a rocket or anything but differnce is noticable

You're the first person that I've heard say they prefer the V35 interior to the V36. Then again, I don't frequent the 2003-2006 forum that much.

No...the 07-08 Sedan is still the G35. The 09 Sedan is a G37.

And yea, IMHO, the 07+ interior is a nice solid step up from the 1st gen.

I agree! 2nd Gen Interior is lightyears ahead of the 1st Gen Sedans! Was one of the reasons I waited for the 2nd Gen to come out! I feel the 1st Gen interior used alot of cheaper plastics than the 2nd Gen. and did not like the power seat controls where they were mounted. and it just flet cramped for me. and hated those orange Nissan gauges! felt like I was in a older Altima! LOL. But like you say it's a personal choice! If you got a 1st Gen or 2nd Gen, We all in da family!

If it wasn't the second generation G I would not own an Infiniti now.

If you happier with the first gen just keep it and be happy. Who cares what other think.

Nope I too prefer the older style. Simplistic and appealing at it's best. The new interior is very overwhelming and clustered with millions plus buttons which functions you can control with the dial . Although I won't mind for the extra bump in power. Seats are nicer too with adjustable bolster.
