I made the plunge today and worked a deal for a 2009 Blue Slate/Graphite G37 Journey Premium Sport w/Nav. The car is going to be shipped up from FL by end of next week. After 3 good days of back and forth with the dealer, I got it for invoice + $50 and 4.9% financing for 60 mo. I did agree to cover the transport cost from FL to NC (at cost outside the deal). I can't freakin' wait!!

Side note, the dealer has a fully loaded (incl. aero kit) sitting on the lot. I like the euro spoiler but still unsure about the chin spoiler. It definitely squares off the front-end a bit. It was good to see in person though.

Congrats. $50 over invoice is a great price. The best I could get from Crossroads Infiniti in Raleigh was $500 over invoice on a Journey/Nav/Tech/Premium/Sport. The car was ordered in mid-Dec. but no word on when it will arrive.

There were a few loaded G37 sedans available out of state, but I really didn't want 4 wheel steering. Transport costs also erased any potential savings.

Did you get the $1000 factory to dealer incentives factored in? There's also a $500 factory to customer cash rebate for current Infiniti owners.

The $1,000 was built into the deal to allow them to get down to invoice + $50 so I didn't get it on top of invoice cost per se but I did get the doc fee rolled in to it. I also got the 4.9% rate in addition to the $1k factory money factored into the deal, which I had been told by 2 different dealers could not be done (had to be an either/or thing).

All in all I'm happy with the deal and excited about getting a car next week when I was told just a few days ago that it would be June/July for the specs I wanted.

I was not eligible for the $500 loyalty cash as I turned in my 2005 G back in July when it came off lease so I have been driving my wife's old car since then. I'll be so damn happy to get back into a real car for a change

Since the dealer pocketed the $1k incentive, you essentially got $ 1050 over invoice minus doc fees, plus the added price of transport. Still a good price, if you're in the "gotta have it now" mode.

Technically i got a little better deal than that as I traded in a car that I was upsdie down on $2,400 for and managed to work that back to an upside down position of only $910 so they ate up the $1k (plus some) that way.

All in all I am very happy at this point as they initially started at $500 below MSRP which i told them was ludicrous.

In the end, all that matters is that you feel happy with the deal that you worked out for your self.

At the end of the day all that matters is that get what you want for a price you're willing to pay. Just set a maximum price you are willing to pay and go from there.
