The Navteq site now lists v8.2 updatedfor the 2008 nav system, with a $190 tag. I presume that's for a goofy unlocking code and we still have to go to the dealer, which is ridiculous in this day and age. Anyway, has anyone done the upgrade yet and what did the dealership rip you off for the service?

One other question-- mine is an early '08 and I use alot of the extended voice commands that were removed from the later 08's system. PLEASE tell me that the nav update will NOT affect my voice commands (it shouldn't, but who knows).

Yeah, I KNOW there have been other posts this subject. My POINT was, this is a brand new software update (this month) and I wondered if anyone had done it yet.
