What do you think?

I'm currently negotiating an '08 G35S with less than 40 miles, nav, and premium being sold as a new car. They are offering it with the cash incentives for 31,190. I have my own financing at 4.9% for 4 years. I would be putting down 12k. I walked out two weeks ago because they wouldn't take my offer for 30 OTD (no sales tax because I'm a NH resident). The salesman called me today and said that if I am still interested in the car, they would work with me because it is the end of the month. Ok, we all know car sales are down, stealerships are hurting, and it is the end of the month. What do you think would be a good offer for me to present to them? The car's MSRP is 38,950. I think the invoice (not sure what they really paid) was 34,550.

Some ideas:

30 OTD and the 0% financing thrown in along with the cash incentive.

29 OTD with my own financing.

31 OTD with a set of coupe 19s thrown in

Suggestions?

Financing will be determined by your credit score. If you are not at least 730+, don't expect the 0% from Infiniti.

+1 however if you above 730 and if with 4.9% will be too high due to your downpayment and credit score.I got mine brand new on March 2008 w/2.9%
promotion.why don't you go for 09 G37s Seadan?

My credit score is in the UPPER 700s, but that's beside the point. I'm looking at a leftover 08 because: "They are offering it with the cash incentives for 31,190."

It is actually a better deal to take the cash incentive than to take the 2.9% according to my calculations. I'd be putting down $12K

My original question pertains to how low you guys think I can negotiate. If you know where I can get a new 09 g37S 6MT with nav and premium for this price, let me know, I'll jump on it!

you will loose some power on feb 1st, because the January books close. How many other 08's do they have left over? are you dealing with Nashua or Danvers?
I bought my 07 g35S 6mt from Nashua on December 27 of 07, my sticker was 41 (fully loaded), and I paid invoice. which was 36. got 3.9 for 5 years. you have to remember, no one wants a 6mt around here, (well some do) but its less then 1%, most want the X for the snow, and there is a lot of snow on the ground so every one is thinking about winter driving. I would not pay too much for the coup wheels because the dealer will get the stockers back for free, so u should only pay the difference which is not much.

I would hit them low and hard right now. and say u will sign right now if they take that offer. if they say no, walk away and say Danvers ( or Nashua, the other dealer) has a good deal on an 09 and you like the offer of more power of the 3.7, explain to them u buying an year old car that is not out of manufacture and an 09 will have higher resale value and the 09 is a better car because the new 3.7 is in the 10 best engines list and the 3.5 is not. stretch it out till Jan 31 and sign then

Good luck

^Thanks! I'm actually in the DC area now. This is the last '08 G35S 6MT in the area.

I drove a 5 speed rear wheel drive truck for four years in NH with no issues. :-)
