Aux audio from Blackberry

I have a battery issue with my 2nd generation iPod that is making it more and more difficult to synch music with my iTunes library AND stay charged long enough to complete the synch (cannot charge AND synch via USB on this model). As a result, I'm turning to my Blackberry Bold and it's 16GB of MP3 music. Before I go and buy the appropriate AUX cable can anyone here with experience tell me if the music can be navigated using the car's AUX audio setting as with the iPod - meaning, can I use the steering wheel or display console/menu key to navigate the music on my Bold and play it as I would the iPod, or is it only press-and-play on the Bold and then you set the AUX as the input and listen to whatever is playing?

Thanks for any help

fG

You wont be able to use the HU controls to control the BB audio via aux jacks.

Blackberry storm pics

Ditto on the lack of steering column controls- however, I love my B'berry Storm and have routed my aux cord/car charger cord under the center console through a hole under the ashtray- just had to drill a small hole under the charger port and fished 'em easily out of sight. Pairing was a breeze, etc via Bluetooth.

I've considered a car mount, but the aux/power cords keep it upright and tight.

I listen to streaming music on my Storm via m.moodio.fm- it's sick.

Pics of my integrated (so to speak) Storm:

Nash - looks terrific. Can you PM me with the type of AUX cable you have there as that is precisely what I want to get.

Moodio is great! Recently just added Slacker as well.

Thanks very much

Yes, this charges the phone but I only charge it when I'm running the engine- haven't had any battery issues so far knock on wood. I'm almost at 20,000 miles with the original battery.

That is a very sweet setup nashvegas. Can you tuck the cables and close ashtray with no problems? Any problems with cables getting dropping down in there if and when you do close it up?

No problem at all with tucking the cables and closing the ash tray cover- nice mod with no cutting at all other than the hole underneath the power outlet which remains hidden even without the charger plugged in.

Nice, I'll have to try that myself.

You've a lot of unread messages btw, lol.

This should work with playlists you have on the Storm too right?
