Nav and Ipod Q's on G35 '07

Is there a bug fix patch for this thing yet? Cell use is so buggy with nav. Used 5-6 different phones in it. If I get the NAVTEQ $190 map upgrade does it fix up the nav or just data points

Ipod:
I would like steering wheel controls of ipod touch, but the units I have searched on are for older models or dont work with '07. Whats the best thing to get and who sells/install.

I currently have it in the AV input, with a charger, and some lame blue tooth remote and this is too ghetto for me.
