Talking Noobie with a few questions, please help

Hi fellow g35drivers! I've been looking around the forums for some times now and plan on doing mods for my g35 but I just want to be 100% certain. I searched up and did alot of my research but all the informations are old or unorganized to understand.

1) The size of our fogs are 9006? and is it easier to install through the wheel well or by removing the two intake boxes?

2) I can't find anything on front bumper plugs. I bought the car with the license plate already drilled and been looking to plug them with IP painted plugs. Anyone has seen these for sale?

3) Where can I find some good, cheap DRL thats similar color to the oem HIDs? Wheel well or two intake boxes?

4) Where can I find some good, cheap turning light bulbs thats similar to the color of the oem HIDS? Wheel well or two intake boxes?

Any advices or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you
And I plan on doing all of these at one time to make it more simple.

Hey Kevin, welcome to the site and I can help you out with some of those questions.

As for fog light bulb size, yes it is 9006 and if you want to get something to match the Projector lights, get HID kit. We also dont have daytime running lights
But if you want to change the fogs, it is best and easier to take out the intake boxes.

The turn signal bulbs, you can buy them at http://www.xenonmods.com/ but if you want to get something to match the OEM HID color, you can go LED or get amber bulbs that are coated in chrome. I have the chrome coated ones and it gives the headlights a nice stealth look.

You can reach this through the intake boxes as well.

The lights that you have to reach through the wheel well is the HID lights and the parking light above the projector. Those are the only 2.

I'm not sure where to get the plugs, but I'm sire the members on here will know.

Hey Kevin. Welcome to the club... I'm sure you'll find answers to most, if not all, of your questions here.

Send Rick @ Riverside Infiniti a PM or give him a call and he should be able to get you the license plat plug in IP. Make sure to tell him that you are a G35Driver forum member, as he gives us a pretty significant discount.

Good luck.

Adrian

Oh sorry, I thought our parking light was considered the DRL

Do you know where I can order a pair of those and a pair of the LED coated in chrome signal light bulbs?

These are chrome coated turn signal bulbs http://www.xenonmods.com/silverbulbs7440info.htm

and the parking lights are T10 bulbs, these will look great. It is hyper white. Has a tint of blue to it, but looks white, they are most popular color for the parking lights.

You can get that lip at riverside infiniti or you can buy it from here:
http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/pro...c778468ec7f0cf

But best place to get it is at Riverside Infiniti and for a better price.

Thank you for help 2GoRNot2G and G35Robby, I greatly appreciate it and will order a set soon.

They have all the colors but ivory pearl? haha =/

Edit----

I looked at the link of the parking light bulb and they look FAIRLY SIMILAR to the 194/168 wedge bulbs that I used for my interior. Are they the same thing? If so, I have like 10 more extra bulbs I could use instead of ordering a pair of those.

The lip 2gornot2g has was custom painted i believe because they are meant for the new 2009 G37s sedan (which doesnt come in IP). Sad i know
So it has to be painted IP.

The bulb is too small but im sure it will work, but not that great. It'll still have the yellowish look. It's best to go LED when it comes to that sort of light mod.

Also here are pix of the chrome coated turn signals.

Hey Kevin. Thanks for the nice compliment, man... Unfortuantely the 2009 only comes in Moonlight White, so no fractory Ivory Pearl for the 2009 front sport lip. However, if you get it through Riverside Infiniti, they can have the lip stripped and repainted Ivory Pearl for you before you get it. They did mine and I believe Rick may even have one already painted IP in stock... I know he had 2 of the done when I got mine.

FYI... Here's a link to a thread I posted for the front lip... There's more pics on page 4.

Yeah, sorry for being vague on the details but I meant I had 194/168 LED Wedge Bases extra for my interior lights. Would they work? Seems to look exactly the same

----2GoRNoT2G - WOW, thats so clean haha but for $500 is kind of alot

Yeah, unfortunately for us IP guys we have to pay extra to have the lip stripped and repainted, otherwise it'd only cost around $375. It's still cheaper than any other aftermarket bumper / lip, so it's not all that bad.

Indeed. The cost of beauty is $$ and IMO, it's worth it

Incidentally, Mike, did you put the sport front bumper on your x, or is it an xS from the factory? Just curious.

"way back" in '07, the X's did not have a Sport Package. so last year around this time, i switched out the regular one with the sport one....and decided to slap an "S" badge on the back (so yes, i am a sport wannabe )
