Car care for summer vacation

I am going to travel for this summer approximately 3 months. I will leave my car in the garage and put a cover on it. What do you guys suggest me to do when the car is parked for 3 months straight? Will it be able to start when I come back? Any deform to the tires?

Need your suggestions.

Just make sure to unplug your battery and off you go. Should be fine.

If you have ethanol in your gas, buy some type of fuel stabilizer.

Premium gas can have ethanol in it too. Check the pump where you fill.

I pump gas from BP gas station. How can I check if there is ethanol or not ? I thought Ethanol 85% is a specific gas which is much cheaper than premium.

Many states put up to 10% EtOH in their gas. Next time you fill up just take a look at the pump itself, if your state puts in EtOH it must tell you the max amount, usually on a sticker.

Somebody just told me that if the battery is unplugged, many things can go wrong with the electronic system. I can only think of one thing that is the ECU will be reset thus every data that the ECU has learned will be gone. Is there anything else can go wrong if I unplug the battery for a while?

ull get flat spots in ur tires, its not a bad thing, but for the first 10-15 miles that you drive it after, you will hear/feel a small vibration which will go away.

i would fill the gas tank and put some stable in there,

DON"T SPILL THE STABLE, it will eat the paint on the car, so be careful.
run the car around a little to the stable works its way through the fuel system befor parking it.
un plug the battery if you want, personally i wouldn't, if it needs a jump when you get back, it needs a jump.... no bigy. jump it and drive it.

enjoy the vaca

my track car sits for months at a time.

disconnect negative terminal.

put stabilizer if you want, but like above said, put it in and run your car a bit before you let it sit. its the fuel in the lines, fuel filter, and injectors that become more of an issue vs. the fuel that just sits in ur tank.

me personally, i never put stabilizers, never liked putting unncessary stuff in my car.
