...really depends on the shop & their rep.
I'm guessing $350 - 500 range.

Have you considered vinyling it?

do the vinyl overlay, they have gloss black as well, easily reversible (removable) if you don't like it, easier to resell, looks just as good.

I vinyled my roof gloss black about 2 weeks ago at a local vinyl shop for around $300 and it looks amazing.
I'd have to agree with everyone else, vinyl it so it's reversible...you can't even tell it's vinyl if they do a 1 piece.
Check out how well it matches with the tints on my car: https://g35driver.com/forums/picture...ics-dubai.html

$350-$450

Paint > Vinyl

You'll never get the reflection or shine that paint offers from vinyl. And when your roof starts to swirl, you can polish it out of paint, but not vinyl.

No way is vinyl just as good as paint. Calvin nailed it. You get what you pay for.

Agree with Calvin, but if you use good vinyl the difference is minimal.
I have a friend who has a painted roof on his Lexus IS and you can't tell the difference when I park next to him.
Plus the shop I got my vinyl done gave me a 5 year warranty against scratches and etc. so they'll replace it if need be.

nothing will be better than paint. No vinyl will ever match it. I dont care if its 1,000 dollar vinyl done at the best shop in thw world, paint will always look better lol
300-500 is a good price. Depends on the shop and paint used and the cars they usually work on lol

I know a shop that does only exotics and they wanted 1,200 to paint the roof black but it was the best quality paint and best pint jobs i have ever seen.

But 300-500 is a great price.

250 is my quoted price from the guy that did my heads/tails/grille.

and i am going to paint it this year. had the vinyl for a year and it has swirls and specs of pollution that i cannot get out without tearing through the vinyl.

paint>vinyl

ya im not doing vinyl...doesn't give you that shine like paint...and you can remove scratches outta vinyle like you can paint....i got a guy who works at macco quoting me 150 doing it on the side cuz he has the equipment at home. should i do that? or is that too cheap, and too risky?

I agree on the vinyl comments.
Mine looks great from 5 feet away, but Cal is bang on with his comments.

I have vinyl for one reason. Leased car.

BTW way mine is a custom 1pc wrap with 8yr rated material.
