ride quality when switching to 20's?
i posted this in the wheel section but thought i could get more responses here. i have an '08 sedan with the journey package and would like to know if there was a noticeable change in the smoothness of your ride for anyone who upgraded to 20" rims from 17's or 18's. i'm in the process of getting some aftermarket wheels but i don't know if i should get 18's or 20's but i'd rather err with a comfortable ride over looks/performance. i'd like a wheel that has a 2+ inch lip but it seems as though this pretty much limits me to 20's. any opinions would be appreciated.

If you care about a comfortable ride, forget about getting 20's. I think 18's is a good compromise between handling/comfort. It also depends on where you live....NY has pretty crappy roads which makes the ride feel pretty harsh.
Good luck with your decision.

honestly, i'm riding on 20's and i think it's quieter than my factory 18's on my journey... And as far as ride quality, i really don't notice a difference unless i go over some nasty bumps/potholes/train tracks... But yea, i put my 18's back on a few weeks ago, and thought my car rode worse with them, But the 20's def. feel more sluggish...

I took my 20's off after a year....just got sick of the crappy vibration and noise...not to mention having to dodge everysingle little thing on the road
Maybe its cuz im lowered.....but you people who r saying your 20's ride smoother than the stock 18's are on crack....how can less tire ride better than more tire?????
The stock 18's are smooth
I am a happy person now
