4 questions,

1. what length were those runs?
2. what were the times?
3. what the heck was that Stang putting down?
4. Did you seriously take a RENTAL to the track?

1. 1/8 mile runs
2. Best time was 8.7@82 with 2.1 60 ft's.
3. The stang pulls low 6's on a bad day.
4. Yes. It was a rental/loaner from Riverside Infiniti. I had it when I was getting my motor replaced for OC.

Dude, come on, I think in the quest of trying to regurgitate your knowledge on transmissions you clearly missed my point. LOL
dopey is right, have you looked at the Nissan GT-R v-6 vs. the Lexus LF-A v-10? The GT-R has a faster 0-60 time but slower 1/4 mile. However, it's not really a fair comparison to compare the G37 sedan to the G35 sedan since they have different transmissions, one being 7AT and the other being 5AT. Since you're talking about MT, then I'm not sure at this point, but you wanted an example of a car that has faster 0-60 time but slower 1/4 mile time.

AS awesome as the LFA is in that video, I'm disappointed by how little difference the extra $300K did for it's performance. Oh, btw, did anyone else notice the hood shake (evidenced by the front seam where it meets the bumper) at the 3:15 to 3:32 mark in the video?

and...that's the 2010 GT-R vs the 2012 LFA. The newer 2012+ GT-R has a sub 3 sec 0-60.

here's how they stack up against each other today

As far as the question goes in the title of this thread "What is the real 0-60 time of the G37 sedan"
It's always been somewhere between 5.0 (IPL) and 5.6 seconds and a lot slower than the other two cars recently mentioned here.
