LED front turn signals?

I'm thinking about putting in some amber LED bulbs for my front turn signals. Has anyone done this...successfully? I know sometimes there are problems since they don't draw as much power so you can get the bulb malfunction light.

If anyone's done this let me know

It's definitely do-able.
You'd just need to solder in resistors to level out the power usage of the bulbs so they don't flash frantically.

+1 on the chrome bulbs, i have them for my turn signals. LED's are nice but I couldn't bring myself to order relatively pricey LED's that are just intermittent i guess.

This is the '07+ section my friend. We don't have those side marker lights - and I'm talking about the turn signals inside the headlight housing.

Ya, but I am most likely incapable of doing that without f***ing something up and I don't want to deal with having to do all that.

And I don't want chrome bulbs, I'm not getting them to get rid of the orange in that lens. I like it better with the orange, but I was wondering what it looks like with LEDs in there instead of standard bulbs. I'm also going to consider it for my JDM tails since the rest of the tails are LED - I don't get why they didnt make the turn signals LED in the first place.

Just to clarify, you had LED turn signals? Did you have to add any resistors to them or just put them in place of the stock bulbs?

If you didn't get any replace bulb notices then this could be great news

I looked into LED'ing my turn signals (havn't pulled the trigger tho), if having to solder is your concern the resistors come with super simple splice taps if you want to go the easy route. If you can work a stapler you can install the resistor.

i did this on my previous 07. i added the resistors (quite easy) and that corrected the blinking, however they were not as bright as the standard bulb, so when the brake lights come on and i signal, it's hard to see the signal flashing. i tried several bulbs with more leds and different configurations, but they all looked similar in terms of brightness. i got tired of that so i changed it back.
one thing i looked into was making the brake lights flash when you signal. i couldn't find anyone that could figure out how to do it, plus i always worried that if a signal led ever went out, it would be hard to have the factory replace under warranty if they saw the mod to the taillight.
