Well all I know is that our service manager has to put his initials on a good portion of warranty work before we do it. more so on the higher dollar claims. guess it doesnt look good on the reports..

i have seen this on many fx's but not g's.the dash(instrument panel) has to be changed.i am allowed to do as much warranty work as i want as long as it is justified.i told a customer to bring it back another day because i didnt feel like taking apart a dash that day though

Thanks to you guys in this thread i now see where the very tip of mine is starting to pull away...ARGH!

Seriously tho...that's why i love these forums...now i can put that on my list of warranty issues when it gets worse...

Thanks!

PS...it helps the rest of us with getting ti fixed if the ones who have ALREADY gotten it fixed scan in and post their Repair Orders. We can use those as ammo for the dealerships who give trouble...

My car has that problem. I'll address it when I take it in for service.

I just got back from the dealer...they replaced the part (LID-CLUSTER-68240-JK61A). The fitment is now completely flush on both sides w/no gaps! Hopefully it stays that way.

mine doesn't have the foam showing but definately not flush. Hmmm so I wonder if the new one will do the same thing in time.

i guess my local dumb**** dealer stratched my ac vent on the driver side right and also the lower panel where my knee would be at.

they told me they would take care of the ac vent part and i didnt notice the lower panel till i got home...so i called back and talk to the service manager and he says he will get that ordered.

one small thing turns into something stupid....

I had the same issues in my 08. Had the edges on both sides start to peel and lift up. The loose piece would rub up against the other part of the dash and started making these annoying squeaks. So I had the dealership replace the piece under warranty. However after about 5 months, the problem occurred again, so I had to replace it for the 2nd time under warranty. The service tech told me that it is a design flaw for using cheap material and that there isn't much I can do other than hope that it doesn't happen again.

I am VERY disappointed with the interior quality of the G. *sigh*

Mine looks exactly the same, warped and quite annoying I just try to ignore it. Regardless of how many times they replace it just going to warp again. I've decided to leave it alone.
