WOW! You keep your cars. I have had exactly 25 cars in the 17 years I've been driving... The longest I have had a car was my 84' SVO that I kept from 97' - 05'. The next longest was 3 years... Most of them I get bored of driving them and want a change. The only cars I have loved to drive were my Fox Body Mustangs, a 91 Convertible GT and the SVO..

I am currently driving a 01' MB C320 but want a G in hopes that the G will drive similar to a Mustang Fox body in the way that it will be a MT and be quick, nimble and not feel like a big car. I like to be able to zip around when I want to and I LOVE a stick shift, even in traffic.

My first car was an 86 Camaro Berlinetta SC that had about 3 different colors and the drivers door said "OUCH!" with an arrow pointing to a huge dent it had...lol.

My first was a 150hp i4 '99 Grand Am. By the time I sold it and bought the G, the Pontiac had rust halfway up all of the doors, quarters, and fenders with 120,000 miles on it. The dash was all warped from the sun and the gauges only worked half of the time.

I hate looking back and thinking how much money I spent on mods for what ended up being crap when it was time to sell. Rims, performance summer and winter tires, new hood, brakes / drilled rotors, "go fast" mods, etc... I could have probably had an extra 3 or 4 grand to put down on the G. live and learn I guess

Ha ha, my first was a 1996 nissan hardbody extra cab apple red mis matched colors all over pick up. At the time , my dream was to throw a s14 engine in it but i was young and had no money. I crashed the hardbody and while it was in the body shop i picked up an 1987 2 door pathfinder which was pretty cool, only it didnt go over 65 mph. I sold both and picked up my 03 g sedan 6mt. I miss that pick up.

I know you only...

asked about "first cars' but i would like to see if my fellow readers can pick out what each of my first 4 cars had in common.

1986 crown victoria- police package i.e bigger radiator, different suspension. on top of all that it had a plushed out leather interior. rode like a dream- drove it into the dirt

1986 Rx7- redone in high school auto body class- only to blow the engine shortly after graduation.

1986- Toyota 4 wheel drive- the economical redneck stage of my life- 96 year old Carol Ann Deadmon (never forget that name) pulled out on me- truck totaled

1986 b2000- got me through college... gave to a hard up friend.

I got into the 90's with a Toyota corolla that could not keep hubcaps. i finally embraced this- took the remaining two off and renamed it the NASCARolla- gave it to the same friend i gave the truck to.

Oh Lord... This exercise has made me realize how lucky i am to be driving such a fine car.

Don't think my fist car was sad at all. I bought it brand new the first year it came out. I had been working part time and save all the money myself for the down payment. My dad only paid for the insurance. 83 Rabbit GTI black. I really love that car.

Come to think of it all my past cars were special in a one way or another. After the GTI an 87 16V Scirocco, a 98 Honda Prelude, an 02 WRX Wagon an 08 G35xS and now I have an 09 G37S Sedan.

All my past cars still have a special place in my heart. I enjoyed driving everyone of them.

I feels way underpowered now compared to my G, but it didn't feel that way when I first got it. That thing too, would NEVER die.
I have one of those. My wife and I bought in brand new in 04. Car has about 130K miles right now and it still going strong. It's parked out back right next to my G37S Sedan. 2 years ago I drove it on a round trip from NJ to Florida with no issues at all. It's our back-up car.

A white '66 Chevy Impala, which was handed down to me from my cousin in 1969. Great car for an 18 year old in the Bronx.
Then a series of manual transmission cars:
Orange 1970 2002 BMW
Brown 1973 Toyota Corona
White 1984 Camry
Green 1997 VW Passat

And now a blue slate 2007 G35S6MT, the best I've ever owned!
