My first car wasn't so bad, it was a 1993 Honda Prelude with 130,000 miles, sold it at about 180,000 miles. The funny thing is, that 16 year-old transmission is WAY better than the one in my 2007 G35 Sport...now that's sad.

Haven't read all of these but I think I'd be on the podium:

1974 Chevy Vega Notchback...puke tan in color with tan/plaid vinyl seats, 4 speed manual and after approximately 5,000 miles, the aluminum block would wear to the point that about a quart of oil PER TANK of gas would blow by the rings...it was kind of like owning a 2 stroke! To top it off, the oil "cap" was a rubber stopper that you needed a screw driver to pry off...

Rust set in almost immediately here in Western NY but the Vega ended up being used into the early 80s and went over 100K (and went through a few engine rebuilds and numerous cases of oil)...if the speedo didn't work, you could always look thru the floor at the road whizzing by and "guesstimate" your speed...

My first car was a beat up old Volkswagon Rabbit that I bought for $400 dollars. It was a tan colour. I bought it from a pizza parlour they removed the sticker on the doors but you could still see the faint writing, all my friends used to make fun of me.

The windshield leaked so whenever it rained I literally would have two inches of water in the car by my feet. The fuse box was mounted on the firewall as well so it never started after it rained b/c water would leak from the bottom of the windshield and onto the fusebox, even after I replaced the windshield and had it resealed, it leaked.

I am surprised girls dated me and I would get laid in that car at the time hahaha, that car was sush a POS just like all V dubs (and trust me I owned my fair share of VW's)

Now I own a g35 S, man I have come a long way and appreciate what I have.

Yes - I did take some "baby" steps in the ensuing quarter century like a 1989 Taurus, a 1995 Mazda Millenia, 2002 Acura TL-S, 2006 Audi A4, etc...just to make sure I was really ready for the G...

P.S. Oil consumption was down SUBSTANTIALLY with all the vehicles above...
