Need A Help Please, Long Post. Can't Turn Car Off Properly or Shift out of Park!

congrats man -- isn't it a great feeling when you come to the edge .. i mean, RIGHT up to the edge of f- ing up your ride.. and then figure out one simple fix and it's all back to normal -- you pray to the car gods all night saying you'll never do something like that again!
and as an update, everything is fine now. i reset the ECU to clear the airbag light and no other issues have come back. hopefully i didn't damage my PAX iPod module. i'll try installing it *properly* this weekend and find out.
