performance wise, yea, you don't have to touch it, especially with 2 small kids coming.... But you might want to upgrade your headlights to 6000k just for a slightly better look. A lip would change up the front, from every other G in your neighborhood.

Here's a comparison of stock vs 6000k:

I have to agree with SV on the 6000k lights.
They are a thing of beauty.
Bright white light with a perfect hint of blue.

I had the 8000k but they were a little bit too blue and decreased visibility.
6000k seems to strike that perfect balance.

+1 on 6k. the stock 4300k is pretty much white with a little bit of yellow and the 6k's are pure white going into the blue.

I'd recommend dumping the Compact Flash port and get a SD to Compact Flash Adapter. (
Amazon Amazon
) I got mine on Amazon, and I have tons of SD cards around. Almost all new laptops come with SD (CF is being phased out most places).

Great idea.
Do you know if SD can store more?
I'm assuming that we're still limited to 2GB on the G.
What are the advantages?

We aren't limited to 2GB we are actually limited to the total # of songs that can be read by the on screen console (whatever you wanna call the PC in the car). The nice thing about SD cards, are they are about a dime a dozen unlike CF which are roughly double/triple the price. I think there is a limit of like 400 songs or something like that, but more space allows higher quality MP3s.

from reading the board, the bullydog ecu tune seems to be interesting.

how does it differ from just asking the dealer to set the timing +2 degrees ahead? i'm not interested changing shift points (6mt) or top speed limiter, etc... just better performance and gas mileage.

It will allow you to do your own +2 timing, but it also messes the ECU map that gives more power. I'm guessing air/fuel ratios etc...
