I've used both... NXT 2.0 was even easier to apply than the original. Bought one for about $17 a couple of weeks ago at a Auto Zone.

I usually use Meguiar's Cleaner wax and then apply a coat of NXT.

For the price range of NXT, you can still get much better. IMO, Natty's Blue on your dark car will do much better than the NXT will, and it costs less (about 17 bux for the jar).

I agrre that Natty's (blue) Paste wax will give that wet look on dark cars which is great but it's also in part because it uses fillers to help hide swirls and scratches. I'm not saying thats a bad thing but some would just keep putting it on to try and mask their swirls.
My friend just clayed and polished a guys black SVT Cobra and, boy oh boy, did that thing ever have a lot of dark filler wax on it even after the detergent foam canon wash down to strip the wax off first.
OP - There are hundreds of natural and synthetic wax products of all price ranges out there. We all have our own favourites and most of them are pretty good. Its personal preference. You should try a few products and not worry if it costs $15 to $20.
The important thing is that you clay and polish (and even seal) before any waxing and more importantly that you wash it properly after you have spent all that time making your ride so nice.
Cheers

It's good for over the counter, but there are waxes that are hundreds of time better than it.

I think in the sub $100 category, the Zaino line of products are hard to beat.

I recently opted for the Zaino All in One, because lets face it, family life offers you no time

I put it on last year before winter now that my 4 month old boy won't give me the time to do that anymore I am pleased to say that water still beads up (albeit not as well as before) and still has that "glossy feel" (again, not as pronounced as before, but pleasantly surprising)

Not only does it smell good, it is easy to apply and remove as well.

Their leather conditioner and cleaner products do amazing things for the interior and return the fresh factory leather smell .

I bought it at target on clearance. I can't remember how much it was but know it was a steal because it was an impulse buy.

btw, to the OP, not trying to be a douche but I've lately been seeing a bunch of detailing threads in here...theres a detailing section for a reason!
Well the zymol is supposebly the flagship product im sure it should be good,

But check the prices, easy to pay 150$ for a small bottle so, not in my range haha

yessir...we get shafted on everything but healthcare up here .

I actually seen the finished product on my buddy's car recently (this NXT 2.0 wax) after his detailing and I gotta say it looks good and even fills in/masks some swirls.
