Quote: I think the G37 sedan has it but not the 07 and 08. I know I don't have auto lock option on my 08 and did not have it on my 07. I don't like it so I am happy.
That is a feature in the G37 sedan. I don't have kids but would want that feature if I did. There is a lockout for the door but people are human and forget to set it sometimes. I'd rather be inconvenienced and have to push the unlock button than having a kid fall out my car going 45mph.

If the kids are in the rear seat ( as I am sure they are ) then use the child safety rear door lock buttons for each rear door. They prevent the doors from being opened from the inside.

Yes, I mentioned that there is a lockout for the rear doors but with one or more kids, things can get hectic and people can forget. I know I would forget to engage it. Kids like to fidget around and mess with levers. I had my girlfriend's kid and nephew in my backseat of my old G35 coupe and they wouldn't quit f**cking with my cupholders or anything that moved in the backseat. If there was a door handle and the child safety lock wasn't on, there would be a dead kid on my hands.

Quote: Yes. There's an option in the comfort and convenience settings.
Although I haven't looked to confirm it, when the dealer went through the setup on my car, they said there is also an option where you don't even have to push the button. Just get within range (approximately 30" I believe) and the door(s) unlock. If you're not worried about the possible psychos mentioned as the reason for having the double push, this may be even more convenient for you.

i had a girlfriend fall out of my honda going around a curve,

my **** box honda was broken into and they messed up the back door latch.
when the door was shut, it looked shut, but it wasn't really latched some times.

thats part of the reason i upgraded....

they told me that the 2007 G had the ipod control when i bought it.
i believed them because i got it in December and the 08s were out.

i checked the car over, then went into to sign, after we did teh paperwork. i went to plug in my ipod to drive away.... no plug.

i was RipSh*t, i went storming back in there. after some yelling, they gave me the trunk mat and all season floor mats for free. not a fair trade in my book, but i could not wait 3 months for them to order an 08 6mt.

ehh well live and learn i guess

i wired my iphone to the aux in and i rock pandora all the time now.

ya she had a winter jacket on with gloves and a hat. it was in a parking lot so i was only going ~8 mph

good thing it happened there and not when i got on the road

she was PISSED tho.

there was a running joke that i was trying to get rid of her cuz we had just gotten back from mexico, and i had lost her customs papers at the hotel, so we had to wait in line at customs to have them generate new ones. and she was convinced i was trying to leave her in mexico.

then 2 days later, she falls out of my honda.

well,, i just kinda took the insurance check and cashed it, spent it on beer.

left the car that way.

i was in college and didn't really care too much about the car.

after that happened i welded that door shut. so i just used the other back door to get in the back seat.

2 months later, my *** hat friend tried to unlock the door from the inside, and open it from the inside at the same time, and ****ed up the control rods that go from the inside door handle to the latch.

that door never opened again...

so for the last 6 months of the cars life, it was a coupe
